Over this 2 year program campers will develop a solid understanding of God’s truth for their lives. CILTs learn leadership skills for use at camp and in their home communities

Along with traditional camp activities, this program offers practical instruction in goal setting, responsible decision making and positive peer interactions

Canoe Trip (grades 7 and up)
An out-trip experience on the Saugeen River one of the premier canoe routes in southern Ontario. Build character, self-confidence and develop leadership skills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Extensive adventure activities. With a 15 element ropes course, double giant swing, double 700 foot zipline, a vertical team challenge tower, indoor and outdoor rock climbing walls, summer ice climbing tower, mountain biking and boarding, white water boating. We are leaders in the use of adventure activities as fun and exciting development tools. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Medeba runs a 2 part Leaders In Training (LIT) program. LIT 1 runs from June 29 - July 26, 2014 and LIT 2 runs from July 27 - August 23, 2014.
LIT uses adventure and community to develop leadership skills in the participants through a combination of formal training, adventure activities and hands on experience.

OTHER CAMP INFO: We are a Non-denominational Christian camp where everyone is welcome. We are a safe place to explore faith and what the Bible has to say about God and life. Trained staff with high moral standards serve as positive role models to the campers. We have a total staff to camper ratio of 1-2 and with two leaders in every cabin of up to eight campers. We boast of a mature staff with the average age of our summer staff being 21.

We are intentional about creating a community that is a positive environment of engagement, encouragement and acceptance. We do not allow put downs even in a joking way. This is a great place to be yourself and develop healthy interdependence.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Leader-In-Training program is a summer camp program for teens who have just completed grade 9. This program is an excellent opportunity to learn leadership strategies, build team skills, and develop a healthy work ethic. As an ‘LIT’, campers are expected to take on responsibilities associated with counselling and instructing while being supervised and guided. The Leader-In-Training program is a three-week commitment with a mandatory overnight session the first week to further the participant’s leadership development.

CAMP FACILITIES: At Wabikon, campers live in large wooden cabins which sleep 8 to 10 campers and 2 staff members. The camp is divided into sections with the girls' cabins on one side of camp and the boys' cabins on the other. Cabins for our younger campers are located near the centre of camp, very close to shower and washroom facilities as well the large Dining and Recreation Hall and the Medical Lodge. Each section has washroom facilities close by which are equipped with electricity, individual shower stalls and flush toilets.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Wabikon is dedicated to the traditional ideals of personal development, friendship and cooperation. It is the strong belief of the Bernardo family that the camp's cooperative philosophy can best be achieved by limiting the number of campers per session to create a smaller, more intimate environment where each camper can feel like a valued member of the Wabikon family. In addition to Wabikon's full range of daily activities, our program also includes various dramatic and theme based programs mixed in throughout the session. These programs may be afternoon, evening or all day programs and organized as cabin, section or all-camp events. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We believe that all youth need and deserve the opportunities and encouragement to become all that they can be. Our Youth Development Program (YDP) is exactly that. YDP provides the atmosphere and resources for youth aged 14-17 to discover more about themselves and who God has created them to be. It is our hope that through this program, youth will develop the skills and abilities to grow into adulthood with confidence. Our older age group in this program will focus more intentionally on leadership.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our philosophy is based around designing inclusive social groups that allow for participants to express themselves and have a say in the experience. Participants will set the schedule, control the route, and are given the freedom to develop their own games and activities while on our programs.

Participants will sleep in tents (excepting sailing programs, where accommodations are typically on the boats themselves). Participants will typically travel daily, learning to prepare their own meals on fires and camp stoves, setting up their own schedules, learning outdoor skills (survival skills, map and compass, etc...), and learning about group dynamics.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Crystalaire has been offering alternative outdoor adventure education experiences for almost a century. Our staff are highly trained, and will have lifeguarding and wilderness medicine certifications as well as prior experience. We believe in creating playful and inclusive trips in wild places that offer meaningful experiences for all participants. We consider each trip to be a "microsociety," and give our participants the chance to weigh in and decide how they want that "microsociety" to function, how they want people to be treated, and how they want group decisions to be made.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: 16 and 17 year old campers are welcome to join us on our Cojourn, a 3-week outdoor leadership intensive that focuses on our group management and social dynamics curriculum. More information can be found online.

CAMP FACILITIES: Dallas Valley has 3-5 different camps that run simultaneously.

Our site has a swimming pool and hot tub (summer camps only), climbing wall, high ropes course, challenge course, beach volleyball, basketball, human foosball, dugout with zipline (drop into water) and floating toys, archery ranges, riflery ranges, paintball fields, riding arenas, fire pits, and many trails.

Main camp has 15 cabins, a nurse's station, the Hub (building used for instruction and chapel), the Ranch House (dining hall and rec room), and a Lodge for our support staff in the summer and adult guest groups throughout the year.

Conestoga has 9 covered wagons, the Rumble Wagon (dining hall), a nurse's station, and a coverall building (used for morning chapel, and instruction).

Adventure Point is one large building that sleeps 28, 14 on each side, with a dining room and kitchen in the middle.

From mid-June - September we run summer camps for families, seniors, and children.

September - mid-June we host a variety of guest groups.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Through fun and friendships, our camp programs emphasize the development of self-esteem, physical and interpersonal skills, as well as spiritual values.

We take time every day to spend time learning about God, in chapel and cabin reflections. Our activities start with a Bible verse/challenge, which shows that the Bible is relevant in daily life.

Cabins consist of 7-10 campers of similar age, with a cabin leader and possibly a leader in training.

Main camp is for campers ages 9-13.

Junior campers ages 9-10 travel to each activity in cabin groups, and get to try most things once. Horseback riding they do for 1 hour, 4 days a week. We have a cabin leader in every cabin, and try to have a leader in training in most cabins for these weeks. The cabin leaders and LITs travel with their cabins and instruct activities.

Intermediate campers ages 11-13 get to choose 4 activities to do throughout the week. They get put into activities at random, and get to know campers and staff from other cabins. Cabin leaders and LITs get put into 3 activities that they either help with or teach, and get one off.

Conestoga campers ages 13-17 choose 3 activities to do throughout the week. They do not get to choose swimming, as they do this as a group. There is one wagon leader in each cabin, who will teach or help with 2-3 activities/day.

Xtreme campers do a lot of paintballing, as well as mountain biking and boarding. They do many activities as a group, as they are Dallas Valley's smallest camp.

Golf Camp, has an instructor who teaches technique, and helps campers improve on their skills. They will stay at Conestoga in the wagons and do skill training at camp, but are also taken to a local golf course to work on their game. *Campers must bring their own clubs*

Girls Getaway, is our newest addition for 2016. It is a girls only camp, in which girls get to be girls. They will try camp activities, but also have time to relax. Many different skills will be brought to this camp, that won't be available at our other camps.

Western Riding features an emphasis on western horsemanship and gymkana with training in horse management and advanced riding skills. You may request permission to bring your own horse. An overnight Trail Ride through the Boggy Creek Valley to the Colhoun Ranch in Flying Creek Valley is this camps highlight.

Barrel Racing campers learn how to properly pattern their horse on the barrels, horsemanship skills, bits and tack, and other camp skills. Campers will practice the pattern daily. They will also do drywork away from the barrel pattern in order to learn what their horses need to know to make training on the pattern easier for horse and rider. The use of different bits and proper saddle fitting will also be covered. At the end of the week there will be a Sask Barrel Racing Association 'barrel jackpot' held at the camp in which campers will have the option to compete. *Campers must bring their own horses for this camp. This camp is open to girls only.*

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: May long weekend is our staff training, in which all of our program staff must attend. Leaders in training will get to learn to teach skills/activities, find out what camp is all about, obtain job descriptions/requirements, and learn so much more. During the summer the LIT will work alongside a cabin leader in a cabin with the campers, and may have other jobs throughout the summer.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Our campership fund is available to help those who can't afford to pay the whole price of camp. We like to give every child the opportunity to come to camp. We do require a form to be filled out with references.

Family Camp- Campers aren't old enough, or parents just want to go to camp. You get to experience camp as a family.

Archery is now available year-round, as well as challenge course, climbing, hay rides, and riding.

In the fall, winter, and spring, we have riding clubs and private lessons.

Paintball Warriors - is a paintball club that happend on Saturdays in the fall.

Some of our outdoor activities for our spring and fall rental seasons (weather permitting) are canoeing, climbing, high ropes, archery, challenge course, fooseball, hay rides, and swimming.

We know that people thrive when given the chance to spend time together as well as experience the outdoors through activity and adventure. We conduct summer camps for kids and teens in July and August. CAMP FACILITIES: Over 30 rustic cabins and Yukon tents nestled among the trees; beautiful lake for canoeing, swimming, windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking; two tennis courts; 45 foot climbing wall; family-style dining hall; and our beautiful Lodge (built in 1922) is one of the oldest log buildings still in use in Canada.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Ouareau (est. 1922) is a residential camp for girls. The campers get to choose their own activities from more than 15 different options, and we offer Red Cross swimming levels and language classes for girls working on their French or English. We have both Anglophone and Francophone campers in every cabin or tent group, and run camp in both languages throughout the summer. We also offer canoe, climbing, and hiking trips. Accredited by the ACQ & OCA, and affiliated with the CCA, ICF, and ACA. Staff ratio of 1:3.

Cabins: Campers are accommodated in 12-14 man wood cabins, thoughtfully assigned by age. Each cabin is overseen by 2 or 3 counselors, ensuring a safe and supportive living space.

Camp Chikopi has been a beacon of adventure and tradition since 1920, offering a remarkable summer experience for boys aged 7-17.

For over 100 years Chikopi continues the tradition of teamwork: building sportsmanship, character, leadership, friendship, and self-confidence through sports. Chikopi is a modest, family orientated summer camp, the #1 choice for boys who enjoy the outdoors and a wide variety of sports.

Each summer, we welcome campers from across Canada, multiple U.S. states and over a dozen international countries, third and fourth generations of campers return each year.

Chikopi is Tech-Free, our focus is sports, the outdoors, and time-honoured games of; capture the flag, speedball, timed baseball, rocker ball, scavenger hunt, survival, and many more. Our program is fully sports orientated. A mix of assigned and u-pick activities provides a well-rounded experience. Being a small camp ensures everyone knows your name within days. We have small classes ensuring one-on-one instruction. Specialized classes, at no extra charge, are offered in swimming, soccer, tennis, and sailing. Each summer we host weekly special competitive events. Meals are served family style, helping boys master the art of socializing. The boys live in 12-14 person cabins where they gain the unique abilities of communicating, responsibility, respect for others, and boundaries. Counselors reside in the cabins as chaperones. Chikopi is non-denominational, cabins take turns each week reflecting and explaining their understanding of the Golden Rule.

At Chikopi, we’re all about immersing campers in a world of sports, thrilling adventures, and exciting challenges. From kayaking to triathlons, swimming races, and exhilarating running competitions, there’s never a dull moment. Our program is rich with special events, providing your son with the perfect opportunities to learn new skills and, most importantly, to build the confidence he needs to not only achieve but surpass his goals. Chikopi counselors are hand-picked by the Directors, they are chosen for their leadership and role-model qualities. All counselors and staff are interviewed and undergo a thorough background check. Almost every counselor was a Chikopi camper, thus ensuring continuity of over 100 years of traditions. Counselors and staff participate in weeks of training before the campers arrive. Counselors are required to be First Aid Certified and the majority are Lifeguard certified.

Registration is ongoing, sibling discounts are available, cabin requests can often be accommodated. Accredited by the Ontario Camps Association since 1962, Chikopi is monitored and inspected by all applicable government agencies.

Summer Kids & Youth camp program runs in 1-7 week sessions from June 30 to Aug 17, for ages 4-16 for Day Camp and 6-16 for Residential camp.The fees range from $589/wk to $899/wk for overnight camp, and $199- $419/day camp depending on program.

We have worked hard to create a first-rate leadership development program specifically designed to train young adults in the elements of safe and effective leadership.

CAMP FACILITIES: Students dance each day at the beautiful Quinte Ballet School of Canada(QBSC) a state of the art dance facility. Students stay in residence and QBSC has had the privilege to use Albert College (www.albertcollege.ca) for the Summer Dance students. Albert College was founded in 1857 and is Canada's oldest coed private school. This beautiful and statuesque structure looks uot towards the Bay of Quinte and is located in close proximity to QBSC.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The program is challenging and designed for the aspiring young dancer. The program offers an enriching and energetic 3 weeks of dance held in a beautiful city with dancers living in a historic residence and dancing in a modern facility. Classes are taught by QBSC's wonderful artisitc staff. QBSC believes that versatility is very important for dancers today, thus classes are offered in a wide variety of dance techniques and styles, these include, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Pointe Work, Variations, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, etc.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Summer Dance Program may be considered the second phase of the audition process in order to be accepted to the Professional Training Program at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students will arrive playing at a high level on their instruments, and will leave with a wealth of new knowledge, skills, perspective and inspiration. Students will receive lessons from highly-skilled faculty as well as collaborating in daily chamber music rehearsals, performing in masterclasses and recitals, attending workshops and presentations on various topics, attending faculty concerts, and exploring Lake Superior Park and other local attractions.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Can-Aqua has over 40 buildings on site. A private lake, full service dining hall, a large health and wellness centre, movie theatre, rec hall, Wood Working Studio, Arts and Creative Spaces, and 22 camper cabins.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Divided into cabins by age and gender, our traditional camp programs (2-weeks & 4-weeks) are the signature programs here at Can-Aqua. Each night, campers visit our famous program board to select their activities for the following day. At Can-Aqua we place special emphasis on individualized teaching, which allows each camper to move through programs at their own pace. Our awards system is intricate and ensures that growth and development is recognized and interlaced within the crazy fun.

In addition to activity selections, campers take part in a mix of programs divided by cabin, section, team, gender and the full camp on a daily basis. As the session progresses, campers will have the opportunity to take part in an overnight camping trip with their cabin mates. Towards the end of each session, our Can-Aqua Games become a highlight to the experience. Our mini games take place halfway through each month, followed by a larger games program at the end of July and August.

Campers who stay for 4-weeks not only benefit from additional instruction and program time but also have the opportunity to take part in an advanced Algonquin Outtrip, are eligible for advanced swim instruction (Bronze Med & Cross) and enjoy being part of the popular mid month “changeover program” with the directors.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Can-Aqua offers two leadership programs and focuses our structured leadership development on candidates ages 15-17.

Our Leadership programs focus on the development of key social and cooperative skills in young people. Beginning at fifteen years of age, the 4 week programs encourage candidates to take on responsibilities or role modeling as they are challenged to support the campers that look up to them.

Leaders in our community, candidates will work towards achieving certified levels in First Air, CPR and NLS. Both leadership programs involve an extended outtrip as well and provide your young leaders with ample opportunities to continue to learn and grow, while taking on more responsibilities to ensure our camp community remains exceptional.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Founded in 1965, Wendigo is essentially a canoe-tripping outpost, offering supervised canoe trips throughout Algonquin Park's 3000 square miles of protected wilderness.

Canoe trips are for boys ages 9-16, and teach not only canoeing skills, but teamwork and leadership.

Boys have an opportunity to spend time immersed in nature, observing the natural world around them, while learning paddling, map-reading, and canoe tripping skills.

CAMP FACILITIES: NYQUEST Grandparent Camp makes good use of the various accommodations at Lakefield College School, all of which are clean, comfortable, steps away from the action and have Air Conditioning. You can rest assured that you and your grandchildren will have a fantastic nights' sleep after a busy day at camp. We are able to cater to specific accommodation needs (e.g. adjoining/shared rooms for younger campers, ground floor access).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: NYQUEST Grandparent Camp brings together grandparents and their grandchildren in a completely new way, and in a supportive, comfortable outdoor/indoor setting. Through joint activities and experiences shared with each other at camp, the intergenerational relationship between grandparent and grandchild is deepened and strengthened. The grandparents will participate directly with their grandchildren in most activities and in some activities they will observe as the grandchildren have fun with the NYQUEST staff.

There will also be opportunities for the grandparents to relax and enjoy the camp on their own as their grandchildren are fully supervised and engaged in our camp programming. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mill Stream Bible Camp provides an environment where children and teens can grow spiritually, physically, mentally and socially in a safe and fun atmosphere. We are a Bible-based camp, teaching Christian faith in an outdoor environment. Our staff is trained and dedicated to helping your children and teens grow in all areas of their lives. Our camp is fully accredited by both the Ontario Camps Association and Christian Camping International. Individuals will be provided with practical experience by working with campers and helping in several aspects of the camp operation.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Ten months of the year we have dates available for retreats of all ages, conferences and meetings throughout the week or on the weekend. Our rates are very affordable with winterized accommodations for 20 to 110 people and home-style cooked meals, a fireplace, large auditorium and a games room. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Adventure Camp, 5 levels of Riding Camps (Saddle-Up, Giddy-Up, Range Riders), 2 Equine Camps, Ranch Camps, Girls Wilderness and Boys Wilderness Camps, Teen Camp, Teen Wilderness, Archery Camp, Happy Kamp for 5-8 yr olds, Family Camp, Spring and Fall Retreats, F.L.O.W. retreat for girls grade 7-12 and M.O.I. retreat for boys grades 7-12. Winter Retreat for Grades 1-6. We also rent our facility to many groups, ex. churches, schools, Natural resource programs, girl guides, boys scouts, family reunions, weddings, and more.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: LTP Camp will be held July 9-14. This is a camp that you will need to apply for to attend. We will only be taking 8 campers for this program. See website for details.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We have a camper sponsorship program for families who may have trouble sending there child to camp. Additional paper work will be required to apply for this funding.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We offer a Family Camp the long weekend in September. This will be our 3rd year and it is growing quickly.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Winter Retreat for Grades 1-6. Year-round group rentals. Spring and Fall teen guys and gals retreats. Keep an eye on our website for other special retreats and events for 2017.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are always looking for a lifeguard for the summer. Volunteer cooks that will give a week in the kitchen.

We also have cabin leader, house keeping, dinning hall, maintenance and barn staff.  Most of our staff are volunteer but we do have limited paid positions or you can raise your own support.  Staff applications can be found on our web site. 

CAMP FACILITIES: Our schools are specially designed for small group classes (4 students) and they stay either in homestay to hae a total spanish immersion experience.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The CPI Teen Camp, focused on Spanish language study, accepts teens from all countries, from 13 years old-17 years old. Teenagers quickly learn in the relaxed environment through small classes (maximum 5 students per class, 4 hours a day), complemented by personalized attention from our bilingual staff when students are out of class. Young students truly enjoy the exciting opportunity to live with a Costa Rican family and experience the tropical wonders of Costa Rica.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): CPI offers a family friendly learning environment for parents traveling to Costa Rica with their children. In our Standard Spanish Program adult family members are placed in classes amongst other adults at a similar level and the children with other children of the same level.

This program is available for minors 16th and 17th years old.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Teenagers may study the intensive course (4 hours a day Spanish classes) or the super intensive course (5.5 hours a day Spanish classes) at all the 3 CPI campuses. Teen students may share class with students of all the ages. CPI can provide a certificate indicating the amount of Spanish hours studied and the post immersion level attained. This certificate may be presented to the student’s high school or it may be useful for university applications.

An assigned CPI staff member, typically the Student Coordinator, maintains contact with the student’s parent/chaperone to report on their child in general and specifically as to how s/he is advancing with classes and/or adapting to the new culture.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO:
BACKGROUND: Camp Kodiak is an integrated, non-competitive, overnight summer camp serving children & teens with and without LD, ADHD, high-functioning ASD. Campers come from all over North America and from abroad. The primary objectives of Camp Kodiak are to build confidence and self-esteem, to teach social skills, to foster independence and to provide an exciting and satisfying camp experience. This is achieved by providing a safe and nurturing environment, a mature, professional staff, a very low camper-to-staff ratio and a program that is designed to ensure success. Staff never miss the opportunity to recognize and celebrate these successes.

PROGRAM: Camp Kodiak programs for success! All sports and activities are taught in an organized, set-by-step fashion to ensure success. Cooperation rather that competition is emphasized. There are over 50 sports, crafts, cultural and educational activities so that every camper can find several activities at which they can excel.

Core Program: Many campers are hesitant to take on new challenges. In order to ensure that they get the most out of their camp experience Kodiak has developed a core program of 14 activities to which all cabin groups are scheduled. They include an instructional swimming program, water-skiing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, team sports, tennis, archery, arts & crafts, drama, team-building initiatives, high ropes and rock climbing. Campers are encouraged to participate in these activities with their cabin group.

Electives: There are several times each day when campers are able to choose their own activities and pursue personal interests independent of their cabin-mates. The choices include instruction in activities of their choosing and activities that are strictly recreational.

Academics: Monday to Friday, right after breakfast, everyone in camp has an hour of academic instruction.

There are two components to the academic program, Option 1 and Option 2. Campers in Option 1 receive academic tutoring. Campers in Option 2 receive instruction in an educational activity such as music, drama, dance, pottery, photography, chess, STEM activities, first aid, nature studies, etc.

STAFF: An important reason for the success of our program is our staff. Approximately one half of our counselors are trained, certified professionals from the fields of education, psychology, social work and recreation. Every cabin has at least three counselors and at least one of them is a trained professional. The remaining staff are university students, most of whom are working towards a career in one of the helping professions. The camper-to-staff ratio is 2-to-1. All of our staff undergo a rigorous training period before the campers arrive and all new counselors go through a police background check.

MEDICAL CARE: We have a doctor and three nurses on staff. They live on-site, administer all medication and are available 24 hours a day in case of emergency. The hospital in Parry Sound is 20 minutes away.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation to camp is by highway coach from Toronto. Camp personnel are available to meet campers at Toronto International Airport and to ensure they get their flights home at the end of camp. There is no extra charge for this service.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Kodiak LITs range in age from 16 to 18. Besides the regular camp activities, they attend workshops on learning differences, team building, leadership skills and teaching methods. Then, under the supervision of our staff, they have the opportunity to assist counselors with some of our younger campers. They also help organize and implement some of our evening and theme day activities. LITs who are looking for more vocational experiences act as waiters & waitresses for our younger campers. They also help out with some of our office routines and help run our camp store ("tuck shop").

Fees include all activities, laundry service, tuck shop, and transportation from Toronto. We must add the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) to the fees regardless of whether or not the family is Canadian.
